Noizio is an elegant little app that’s perfect for feeding your headphones with various variations of white noise so you can block out unwanted noise. Great simple interface, easy to configure, and a nice selection of sounds. The only thing I might request is a way to get more sounds into it. Currently, you can mix any combination of 15 sound loops. Kudos to the developer for creating such a well-designed app.

I can’t believe someone made this app for Mac and released it for free! It’s really stylish and works well. Can’t wait to use it when I’m writing!

I use this all the time to relax while I am on the computer. Sometimes I want rain instead of music. This works great and the sounds are nice. I listen with headphones when I am out at the library coffee shope or when I want an immersive experience, but it works fine on the speakers too. I have a custom blend of rain, storm, wind, river and train which does the trick every time. Get it, you will like it.

You should try this app if you are trying to working some hard problem like doing homework. It helps you focus. Just give it a try!

I love this little app, I use it daily, I wish the library was just a little bigger but not much bigger. It is so simple to pick and mix. Would love some office noise background, but it is simple and can keep me focused for hours

This is a good app, with a solid minimalistic feel that retains functionality. However, many of these ambient sound clips are short and don’t loop. This means the user has to listen to gaps in sound, annoying shallow repetition, and irritating breaks. It is very easy to loop a sound smoothly. I’m a college film student and I do this weekly. The fact that Noizio didn’t take the time to do this is very lazy and speaks poorly on the company. Once again, the functionality and design of the app is great, but the sounds (which is the reason people go out of their way to use an ambience app) need significant improvement. Tl:dr Good app, bad audio tracks.

This app is excellent. It does exactly as it claims for free. It’s interface is so clean and the sound options so generous that I would have paid for this app. It’s been so helpful for me working out of a home office when my kids are home after school. My only constructive criticism is that some of the loops have noticeable gaps when the loop repeats. The app would be even better if that were fixed and the loops were longer. Will definitely recommend to my friends!

This is a great app to help you focus your mind on work. Sounds are great and virtually the as in nature.

Not sure if this is possible but it would be great if I could add my own sound loops. An office theme or call center theme would be great.

Wonderful app - can’t believe it’s free.

White noise helps me concentrate. I’ve used Coffitivity for a long time but Noizio is a major step up: It has a variety of great sounds (‘Inside Train’ & ‘Deep Space’ are my favorites) & the ability to create & save your own mixes. Why is it free, though? I would gladly have paid for it.

Thanks for the update! BUG: - Even though “Start at Login” is enabled, the app is not starting at login. MINOR ISSUES: - Would be nice to normalize the sounds. Some sounds (like the Wind Chimes) have such a low volume that are barely audible compared to other sounds. As a termporary fix, I dragged all sounds out of the app bundle, normalized them, and dragged them back into the bundle. - Having a version number on the Info screen would be helpful to report any issues/bugs. Does everything it claims and does it well. No issues with the application or its functioning. Four stars for that. Only thing I would suggest to the development team is to provide us with some sounds that are more subtle. Sounds are almost too aggressive as background ambiance. I realize this is all about personal taste so other buyers will feel differently. But for example, how about a wind chimes sound that rings every few seconds, not almost constantly. Or, a summer sound where the birds arent chirping constantly (like the sound that comes with the app). Thanks!

The interface is clean and simple. The sounds are just right. I love this app and would pay money for this or an enhanced version. I’d like to see different cafe sounds, perhaps from cafes around the world and with longer recordings before the loops. Well done, and thank you.

I want to love this app so much, but the menu bar window won’t stay open for more than a couple seconds at a time (making it impossible to actually use the app).

I like it. A lot.Easy to use. Clean and attractive. Does what it says. There is a good assortment of sounds.
