Nifty little companion I think you will enjoy getting to know it. You’ll find lots of options, with a simple interface. Intuitive, elegant, purpose-build. Highly recommend.

This app is wonderful. The ambient sounds sound real (well, except Deep Space, I’m not sure about that one). It’s fun to put together a mix that is satisfying and relaxing. I feel like it’s missing the ability to create your own ambient sounds, and I think this with a user content community would just be the icing on the cake.

I just wish it had more choices. User community maybe so people can add their own sounds perhaps.

First, I want to say that this is the best ambient sound app that I have found. It has a lovely UI, delightful soundtracks, and is accessible via the menu bar, which is fantastic. However, it does not follow my Mac’s audio output. Every day I switch between headphones, internal speakers, and an Airplay connection to speakers via my Airport Extreme. There is no option for it to follow me as I switch the output, and the selector in the app doesn’t identify options by name. They’re all listed as “Mac.” Over the course of many weeks, I have sent three friendly/complimentary inquiries to the company about this, and they have yet to respond to one. Three stars for UI/UX. One star removed for non-existent presence by the developers and one removed for the sound output issues.

I like the design and simplicithy of this app (even wanted to rate it!).

I love the sound of rain and thunderstorms because I find it very relaxing. This app features an intuitive, minimal interface that allows you to find your perfect peace with adjustable volume controls for a variety of quality sounds. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for some good background noise to kick back to.

Just Pure Freaking Awesome.

It’s super simple and helps me focus.

The app was awesome, helped me concentrate on my work a lot. However, I suggest some more improvement, which is why I left a four star rating rather than 5. I noticed that the sound in each of the scenario is repeating itself. For example it is very noticable in the coffee house mode; What I suggest, is that the app pull new data from the server, and download a new mixture of sound in each mode, at least everyday. Then, you won’t be hearing the same sound again and again, so you know you are not exactly in a coffee house. But anyways, it is a very smart idea, and i liked it!

I usually don’t like these background noise apps, but the way this one lets you customize it is great. I play it quietly behind my music and it’s perfect! I wish they had a way to get more sounds, like a sound store or something.

I love that this lets you mix sounds and balance, so you can, for example, combine rain, softly rocking boat, and wind chimes to make the exact mood you want to reate. This app is great.

I’m really sensitive to sound and my environment, and am quite easily distracted. Didn’t see how this would help, but to my surprise Noizio helps calm me down and return to the present. Very grateful for this app!

When I’m not sure which music to listen to, I just put Noizio on and enjoy the sound of rain and thunder whilst in my rather barren computer lab. For those who’s minds can wander during a typical day at work, this app really is a fantastic cure for such woe. Noizio’s sounds are dynamic and have a lot of depth and the ability to save “mixes” is a simple, yet incredibly important feature. Just a lovely piece of software to help keep you sane and or focused during your normal working week.

Really fantastic app; makes working in an open office much, much more enjoyable. I’d love to have more sounds put in, and less repetition (or longer sections before repeating), though the app does a fantastic job! Well designed, beautiful, easy to use—totally love it.

I used to try to listen to music while working but I found myself getting distracted by the lyrics. With Noizio I can finally stay on task with its beautiful background noise (:

Awesome little App. Light wieght, nice settings options, simple and inuitive. And the sound mixture is excellent - I find it hard to pick up on the loops unlike other ambient generators.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. In addition to allowing a customizable mix of sounds, it is low profile. No annoying ads, and you can run it in the menubar and keep it out of the dock, so it won’t get in the way if you use ⌘-Tab to switch between apps. The only suggestion I’d make is that the developers add white/pink/brown noise. Sometimes I like to just hear one constant sound.
